The Weeping Sorrow

Tears flow forth, and blankets the face; like rivers for the desert, all tears put to waste-

eyes like faucets, leak and leak;

brittle old bones;

weak, weak-

tears to cover the bride’s pure dress; red veins for the eyes;

no rest, no rest-

For the sorrow is inevitable, and the weeping forever; happiness in a cage, as escape is nay, never-

shaky hands go numb with the breeze; unhealing wounds, and-

forever to bleed;

the sorrow to pour forth, and-

forever to weep-
