Angels over the Dead

Standard

She is the light that shines the way;

if her heart were gold, a thief would surely take-

she is the fish that swims freely;

her skin is the beach, and her arms are the sea-

she is the starlight, guiding love;

she is my skin, she is my blood-

her eyes see the dying, and weep and weep;

her tears on my corpse, like blood in the sea-

and light swings past, like angels over the dead;

as coffins are filled full, again and again-

    This is really deep. I admire how you are not afraid to talk about death. Even though you talk about death… life and love are very much associated as well.

    • Hello, thanks for your like.
      You know, I always believed that poems and artwork should have meaning behind it. I try my best to stress morality, and how our actions can lead to consequences. Talking about death is sometimes good, because it warns people about a darker fate depending upon the choices they make, and the outcome that is. Life enlightens people to a more grander imaginings of things. Thank you so much for your comments. 🙂 Be sure to let others know about me.
