And her heart?

like a dagger. Each living breath sings;

the pain of every letdown, stolen by her sins-

the age of reason, delivers golden songs;

crumbled by her ways, devoured by her wrongs-

eyes that gaze for peace, shadowed by her schemes,

bloat out by her deeds-
